Graduate Process and Applications Engineer

The Company:

This firm is a global leader in the cutting-edge design and manufacture of industrial gas and cryogenic products. 

The Role: 

They are seeking a technically minded engineer with an interest in process/applications engineering, product development and technical support. This exciting role will involve: Sizing and conceptual design for heat exchangers and related process equipment, mechanical design support, component selection, project estimating, cost analysis, generating proposals and quotations, following up on open quotes and communications with customers for technical sales support, project management, and process analysis.

The product development support involved in this position consists of similar sizing and conceptual exercises, as well as data collection, follow-up design modifications and engineering solutions.  Process design utilises thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer analysis, as well as considerations for standard components, materials and manufacturing constraints.

The role is to start in January 2025 and is based from their facility in Kent. 

Requirements:

• 2:1 equivalent or above in mechanical or chemical engineering
• Industry experience preferred (but not essential)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Knowledge of heat exchange, gas, hydrogen, LNG, thermodynamics would be advantageous
