Payroll services firm Ceridian is to create 200 jobs in Scotland, it has been announced. The staff will be taken on over the next three years, with the total workforce at the human resources company to stand at 590 by the end of 2014. Company bosses said 110 of the new positions would be filled in 2011. "We are delighted with the progress of our Scottish operation over the last three years, which is now our largest UK centre of excellence," said managing director Doug Sawers. "The success has been such that we now plan to expand from this excellent base and, in response to customer and market demand, grow our presence still further. "We anticipate further growth over the next few years. "The naturally strong customer service ethic together with the drive and passion displayed by our colleagues based at Glasgow has helped drive this positive prospect, and makes it an obvious choice to invest further in the West of Scotland with the support of SDI and Scottish Enterprise."
