5 Sarcastic Tumblr-Inspired Tips For Finding A Graduate Job

Whether you're a keen tumblr-er, or a keen avoider, its place on the internet is fixed: eye-opening, self-deprecating and sarcastic. What a perfect place to look for graduate job advice! (the sarcasm has begun)...

1. When faced with a tricky interview question...

"Convincing an employer of your degree's relevance"   ...just spout random words and hope a sentence forms.

2. Listen to everyone who says "I've been there"...

"Showing gratitude to someone who says you'll find something 'soon'" ...and kiss their hand in gratitude for imparting such wisdom upon you.

3. Be prepared for everything...

"When I get a response to my job application" ...And never leave your phone's side. And check your emails every five seconds.

4. Believe everything that an employer says...

"When an employer that denied you after a 2 month process says "stay in touch"" ...down to every single word/metaphor/cliché

5. This is completely and utterly fine:

"When entry level jobs require 3 to 5 years of experience"
