Steady growth in the development of bespoke software has resulted in the need for a graduate web developer to join our busy team in Cambridge.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain corporate applications developed in various web technologies with a particular focus on global tools supporting sales and e-commerce. You will be expected to manage the resolution of support issues, investigate root causes and work closely with the support team and global remote users.
Responsibilities include:
+ Full project life cycle development using Lotus Domino, JavaScript, Java, XML, SQL, PHP
+ Design and development of new software releases
+ Application support and problem resolution, including direct contact with international business users
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of at least one OO programming language, preferably with one year of industry experience programming a data driven website. Any exposure to Lotus Domino development would be beneficial, however, training will be provided.
The successful candidate will need to be a fast learner, confident and use their own initiative working with a range of technologies as well as being a team player. Good face to face and telephone communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with users at all levels.
There will be a requirement for occasional overseas travel.
