Carl Gilleard Teams Up With GRB

Careers Fairs

After stepping down as CEO of the Association of Graduate Recruiters in July, Carl Gilleard has accepted a position as Non-Executive Director with the Graduate Recruitment Bureau (GRB). He will focus on the agency's research and public relations activities.

GRB was established by co-founders Chris Cater and Dan Hawes in 1997 and has grown into one of the country's foremost graduate placement services. Since its inception, the agency has helped and placed in excess of 600,000 graduates into student and graduate level positions with businesses both large and small. In recent years the agency has extended its brief to include an Experienced Hire Division placing graduates with 2-10 years IT or Analytical experience and this summer opened new offices in the City of London to complement the operation in Brighton.

Commenting on his appointment, Carl Gilleard said, "I have watched GRB grow into a very successful player in the graduate recruitment market. In 2012 the agency placed over 500 graduates into employment making them one of the top providers of graduate level vacancies in the UK. In one sense I am returning to my roots as my first graduate recruitment post was as executive director of the Metropolitan Authorities Recruitment Agency, METRA, charged with attracting and recruiting graduates into local government. The deciding factor in teaming up with GRB was that I share the vision that Chris and Dan hold on how graduate recruitment will develop in the next decade. I'm looking forward to helping them to build the agency's expertise and influence."

Dan Hawes is the Co-Founder of the GRB Group. He hopes to enlighten students, graduates and employers with his wisdom from over 25 years in the industry.
