Commercial Analyst ?20-26k - East Sussex

Our client is an $11bn privately owned vehicle rental global corporation incorporating two of the largest names in the business. The company is one of the strongest positioned organisations in the sector and is looking to capitalise on its market position over the next 3 years.

The European commercial analytics department based in Brighton are responsible for the profitable analysis of $95m of revenue from UK, Germany, France, Italy and Holland's commercial (business to business) rental agreements.

Main Purpose of Role:

To facilitate profitable business through accurate commercial analysis, whilst having a clear understanding of the different source market requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

-Co-ordination of proposal and profit model process, per-day yield and contribution, with the objective of ensuring that contribution is maximised for every account
-Co-ordination of fact sheet and contract preparation process with Sales team and Leisure Support
-Rate preparation for all leisure channels and management of rate library
-Tracking completed check in days and revenue against budgets on monthly basis
-Providing accurate management information, together with appropriate analytical comment, for Sales and Marketing teams
-Weekly reservation trends
-Monthly revenue and yield trends
-Adhoc reports including but not limited to: Car mix, Region location mix, Length of hire or rental
-Validating calculations of contracted marketing funds, commissions on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis
-Competitor analysis by channel ? pricing and product

Requirements:

-At least two years' proven analytical skills would be desirable
-High level of analytical and financial capability
-A strong understanding of the potential impact of actions upon the Company's revenue and expense budgets
-An excellent ability to prioritise a number of tasks effectively in order to meet often tight deadlines, whilst being able to work in a pressurised environment
-Being able to work successfully as part of team, whilst taking responsibility for own your actions
-Attention to detail and thorough admin skills
-Strong organisation skills
-Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
-Excel to a minimum of Intermediate level; PowerPoint training can be given
