My client is a London based securities house focused on small and mid-cap UK equities. They also provide corporate advisory and stock broking services to an extensive client base.

An opportunity has arisen to join the organisation as a Trainee Equity Analyst.

Within this role you will be expected to support senior investment bankers in the origination and execution of corporate finance transactions in a variety of sectors.

The successful incumbent can expect to be involved in industry and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation analysis and financial modelling. They will also assist with the preparation of presentations for clients and investors alike.

In both origination and execution the role will offer both responsibility and early exposure to clients, other advisers and senior investment bankers.

In order to apply candidates should possess:

- An excellent academic history and have studied at a leading University
- An absolute minimum of 300 UCAS points from their first 3 A-levels
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form
- Strong numerical, analytical and report writing skills
- Creative problem solving abilities
- Strong business awareness
- High levels of drive and determination
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrable leadership experience

It would be preferred that candidates have straight A's at A level and have also had previous work experience or an internship in a financial organisation, although this is not essential.
