Graduates are competing to win a year's internship working with a Harrods fashion buying team.
The Harrods Graduate Competition is open to those hunting graduate buying and purchasing jobs as well as those seeking graduate art and design jobs.
The scheme, being run by the British Fashion Council (BFC) and Harrods, will mean a student from a Colleges Council member college will get the chance to gain skills and experience in quality and design, as well as buying and retail sales.
The placement will work on continuing professional development following graduation. Tutors from the UK's top design courses, who are members of the BFC's Colleges Council, can put forward three or four of the strongest graduates' portfolios from this year.
Three graduates will be selected for one-month training placements, learning different aspects of the Harrods business. After being assessed on their performance, one of the three graduates will win the year's paid internship working on design, development and the retail experience within the fashion buying team.
BFC spokeswoman Caroline Rush said: "This new project provides a valuable opportunity for the winner to gain experience, skills and knowledge in key areas such as design and retail. The BFC's Colleges Council aims to develop opportunities for talented graduates to learn skills and undertake work experience that will assist in their professional development. I would like to thank Harrods for creating this fantastic initiative."
