Working abroad is proving popular with graduates and young people after a survey found more than half were considering a move.
According to a survey by Aviva Healthcare, nearly three out of five people thought there were better prospects overseas.
Many of those involved, aged between 18 and 30, said they would benefit from a reduced cost of living and higher wages.
But despite the attractions the majority still wanted to return home after a few years, with many keen to find the best graduate job advice before moving abroad.
Almost half of the 1,500 people questioned had a friend or family member who had moved abroad for work in the last three years, while top destinations for those considering moving were Australia, the United States and Canada.
Among the things people would miss were the NHS and state health benefits.
