A new jobs website has been launched to help graduates in London find work amid the recession.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson officially unveiled the 'Helping Graduates into Work' site, which is targeting the 100,000 graduates in the capital who will be looking for employment this summer.
The jobs portal, which has been designed in collaboration with The Careers Group, University of London, offers extensive information and advice to new university graduates.
The degree holders can find advice on the best approaches to searching and applying for work, preparing CVs and attending interviews.
Information on job fairs in London, internship schemes and other postgraduate opportunities are also available on the site.
The Mayor, who described the capital's graduates as the "engine of London's economy", said he was keen to see more internship programmes across London, considering that firms have already included them as an integral part of their business strategy.
Mr Johnson said: "London will lead the way out of this recession but our longer term prosperity depends on nurturing the extraordinary pool of talent we have on our doorstep."
