Working for a large international software house on a long established Graduate Sales Programme. This role develops and motivates enthusiastic graduates and turns them into senior sales people and Sales Managers of the future. The role is with a software house based in London. During the programme you will sell software to new clients, up-sell, book appointments for more senior contacts, work with partner organisations and ensure customers are retained.
This is a three stage programme with an emphasis on training and development. All new starters receive both internal and external training. The targets and salary both increase through the programme and promotion is based on ability and achievement. As a general rule, one can expect to spend around 18 months in internal sales before joining the field sales team. Over 90% of the field sales team were recruited internally through this programme.
With your proven commercial sales experience you will join the scheme on stage two as a Telesales Account Manager. At this stage you will be responsible for managing 200 customer accounts as well as generating new business opportunities. Stage three is reached typically after 9-12 months at stage two. As an Internal Business Partner Account Manager you will have a ??20,000 monthly target and will be required to attend external meetings to identify and qualify new Business Partners.
By completing the programme you will have gained excellent product knowledge and will be moved into a field sales role, developing and enhancing client relationships with a named group of customer accounts.
Requirements:
- Minimum 9 months commercial experience in a sales role
- Desire to progress in field sales
- Graduate with a 2:2 or above in any chosen field and A-Level grades between A-C
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrate a pro-active approach to tasks
- Excellent problem solving and time management abilities
- Working knowledge of Windows software
- Ability to demonstrate initiative to identify new business opportunities
- Clear, articulate telephone manner and the confidence to communicate with high level decision-makers
- The ability to perform and think under pressure
- Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong team ethic
