Job Description
The Graduate Development Programme is a structured 18 month scheme aimed at giving you the opportunity to learn about our business and build a career with us.
We start with an induction at our Head Office in Chippenham, learning about our business and central functions. Then, in three six-month site or functional placements, you'll gain a broad understanding of what we do and what makes our business tick. This will help you to form a picture of which path you would like to follow. And alongside the operational experience gained from these placements we will put you through our management development programme, where you will learn skills such as influencing, commercial awareness and presentation techniques.
It's structured to provide a clear development path, yet flexible enough to respond to opportunities as they arise. There's even a fast-track option, for those who really shine. And, we'll support you every step of the way, with an Individual Development Plan focused on your progression, a Mentor and a 'buddy' from day one.
Person Specification
We are looking for talented graduates who are on target to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 classification degree in any discipline. Our programme is for those who are interested in a career within Supply Chain Management; however, we are also looking for graduates for our business support functions such as IT, HR, Finance and Procurement.
Applicant will need to be able to accept major responsibility early and have the tenacity and vision to handle large scale projects from the start. You will need creativity and inventiveness to push boundaries, inspire people and find new ways of looking at problems.
You will need to be geographically mobile and hold a full UK or EU driving licence (this is necessary as some of our sites are not easy to access by public transport).
