X-Factor Hits Graduate Job Market

University students and graduates will be called upon to judge employers over the next three months as a national poll to find the company with the employability X-Factor.

University students and graduates will be called upon to judge employers over the next three months as a national poll to find the company with the employability X-Factor.

It's part of a huge survey to collect views of a massive potential workforce both in and just out of higher education. If the estimated 100,000 votes are cast, companies across 20 work sectors will get an accurate view of just how they are "graded" by students, and students themselves can discover which firms are hot or not.

Researchers trendence will announce the overall results at the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards, sponsored by Aviva, on March 18, 2010.

Aviva's head of recruitment UK, Paul Awcock, said: "These are undoubtedly difficult economic times but most leading companies should, in my view, continue to invest in their commitment to support graduate recruitment."

Simon Rogers, director of TARGETjobs said: "Employers will no doubt be awaiting the results of the annual trendence undergraduate survey with even more interest than usual. It will be very telling which organisations have managed to stay on top and communicate positive employer branding during what has been a difficult year in business."
