Cyber Security Engineer

Our client is a well established organisation within the Retail industry, who are competing in the global market and are based in over 10 countries. This position involves working independently and collaboratively with a team that involves cyber security, infrastructure, and software development. The responsibilities for this job role will involve: 

• Being responsible for the development and implementation of threat prevention capability, system hardening and secure configuration across the organisation. 
• Tracking the compliance of systems through monitoring and auditing.
• Any findings will need to be shared effectively so the attack surface is minimised.
• Analysis of existing endpoint security capabilities and system baselines and determining appropriate controls and benchmarks. 

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of major programming languages, including scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
• Knowledge of Active Directory threats.
• Experience developing and implementing application control rules.
• Knowledge of Windows system internals.
• A broad understanding of security concepts and cyber security.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Degree in cyber security or relevant subject
• Be receptive to learning new tools and current security practices.
• The ability to work to strict deadlines, sometimes in high pressure situations.
