DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer Position in Central London – Tech – Hybrid Working

My client, a leading technology firm, is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to address the needs of their cloud solutions, pivotal in fuelling the company’s rapid expansion. The role presents an opportunity to engage with state-of-the-art cloud technologies and contribute to the development of industry-leading cloud-based offerings for the company's platform.

This role caters to IT professionals with experience in developing and managing cloud-based systems. You'll be an integral part of this client’s DevOps team within their R&D department, contributing to the development and enhancement of the cloud platform and its associated solutions. This platform is structured as a robust, low-maintenance, on-demand, and highly secure environment. It not only hosts the software for customers and partners but also caters to a range of internal purposes, pivotal in supporting the efforts of R&D teams as they craft and evolve the platform software.

Your role will be deeply involved in managing cloud-based technical infrastructure, entailing tasks focused on fortifying the availability and resilience of the platform, enhancing its usability and security, ensuring continuous presence at the vanguard of technical innovation, and streamlining operations across the entire system.

Collaboration with software engineering teams will be key as you employ DevOps methodologies to facilitate software release activities. Moreover, you'll contribute to developing distinctive cloud-based products tailored for customers to seamlessly integrate into their individual DevOps processes within their cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Significant Docker/Kubernetes experience
• Cloud exposure – preference for GCP
• Demonstrate pride in designing and delivering high-quality, well-engineered solutions for complex issues
• Employ a holistic, big-picture approach to problem-solving, ensuring solutions integrate seamlessly within the broader system
• Experience in infrastructure management and general Linux administration
• Additional experience managing microservice-based architectures including scaling, upgrading, traffic management, and deployment strategies
• Familiarity with software build and release engineering
