Accenture - Technology Industrial Placement

Our Technology Industrial Placements have been designed specifically for budding technology specialists. You will apply to join one of three areas: Software Engineering, Technology Architecture or Client Delivery. It’s a 12-month programme and starts with a formal induction and a two-week training programme where you’ll study various technologies and methodologies. We’ll then assign you to a project where you’ll build your skills on the job.

What will I be doing?

Over the course of the placement, you’ll gain exposure to many different assignments from development to deployment. By the end of the year, you should come away with some valuable experience – and hopefully an offer to join us when you graduate.

Do I qualify?

This placement is undertaken in the third year of a four-year undergraduate degree and you will need to apply whilst in your second year.

Software Engineering stream:

Ideally you’ll be studying a degree in computer science, software engineering or a technology-related area of study is typical. However, if you have a real passion for technology and can demonstrate an understanding of how it can be used, we will consider a non-STEM degree. A real interest in software engineering and end-to-end design and delivery is beneficial, and you’ll know a thing or two about programming.

Technology Architecture stream:

Ideally you will be studying a STEM or business-related degree. You will be able to collaborate with clients and co-workers alike, with strong communication skills to inspire others to engage in new technologies. You will be a creative problem solver who keeps up to date with emerging technologies and will seek to become an expert in your field.

Client Delivery stream:

You’ll need a university degree in any discipline and a passion for technology. You will be an excellent communicator, solution and client and customer focussed. A knowledge of marketing principles, digital marketing, customer experience design is an advantage.

Where will I be based?

This placement is based in London. Please note that you will need to find and fund your own accommodation. However, if we send you on a project further afield, we will cover the additional accommodation costs on your behalf.
