The Role
Within the Medical Operations Teams, the first aspect of your role will be to support and contribute to team projects and work which support the wider medical function within the business. You will also work with the Medical Governance team on Code review matters with a view to learning more about this function, developing the knowledge and skill sets needed to review promotional and non-promotional materials. You will also review activities and meetings to ensure data accuracy and code compliance with the aim to assist in these tasks.
The Team
This department is comprised of two main areas: Medical Operations and Medical Governance. The Operations team focus on bringing operational excellence to day-to-day business activities, helping to deliver critical strategic projects and new medical platforms and tools. The Governance team focus on enhancing our governance structure and delivering Code expertise to the business, whilst ensuring compliance within the ABPI and IPHA Codes of Practice.
Together, we ensure that we have coordinated, creative and sustainable actions in place to help overcome some core business challenges across our therapy areas.
What will I learn?
- On the operations side you will gain project management, communication, training and presentation skills.
- On the governance side, you will learn about the APBI and IPHA Codes of practice, undertaking the various training sessions in order to up-skill in this area.
- It is likely that you will also get the opportunity to work with the wider organisation on a project basis, which will allow you to develop relationships outside of the immediate team and broaden your exposure to different areas of the business.
What skills do I need?
- You must be a graduate on a course to be a pharmacist or medical practitioner
- It is preferential, but not required if you hold skills in computer literacy, relationship building, attention to detail and multi-tasking.
