We're transforming our Data and Technology team, making this a very exciting time to join as a Graduate IT Engineer as you'll have a key role in the development and delivery of technology and software solutions that support Brit’s innovative business objectives.
What can you expect?
This is not your typical IT role. Brit Insurance takes pride in its approach to product building, encouraging a diverse and extremely agile approach to development, communication and operational agility.
This scheme consists of a two-year rotational placement within the IT Operations Team – enabling you to develop an in-depth understanding of functional design, Azure architecture and algorithm/pattern detection.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with Brit’s customers, product teams, developers and engineering teams to build long-term, innovative solutions.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development, integration and delivery of processes that improve customer experience.
- Developing infrastructure as code, building pipelines and testable infrastructure for the migration of applications to the cloud.
- Working directly with customers, product teams, developers and engineering teams to build long-term solutions.
- Participating in various stages of product design, from concept to completion.
- Develop appropriate metrics to demonstrate performance and operational efficiency.

What do I need?
We’re looking for candidates who have achieved or be on course for a 2:1 in any discipline and are available to start in September 2024. Numerate degrees are desirable and previous exposure to coding is preferred, though training is excellent so any level of experience will be considered.
