Future Biogas are at the forefront of sustainable innovation by transforming organic waste into valuable renewable energy through advanced anaerobic digestion technology, contributing to a greener future and helping achieve net-zero targets.
Following a recent acquisition by 3i Group plc, a global investment firm and FTSE100 member, Future Biogas are now embarking on their next phase of growth and development, expanding beyond their existing 11 sites in the UK. This provides an incredible platform for Future Biogas to grow rapidly over the next few years and an excellent opportunity for graduates to make a real impact within the renewable energy sector on their 2024 graduate scheme.
The Future Biogas Graduate Scheme
This is a 3-year rotational programme that will see you developing a comprehensive understanding of the industry by working on cutting-edge projects at the forefront of the renewable energy sector. You will develop a wide range of skills that will allow you to progress beyond the scheme into a more senior role within the business.
What will I be doing in year one?
- Based in Guildford for your first year, you will be working on a major project within the Sustainability team, focusing on data collection and management.
- This is a collaborative as well as data-focused role, where you will be collaborating with multiple teams across the business.
- You will have real freedom in this role to create a data tool to be used across the business and will receive excellent training to be able to do this. You’ll have the opportunity to manage this project from inception to completion, and will be able to have a real tangible impact on the business.
What will I be doing in year two and beyond?
- Projects and placements in your second and third year will be dependent on business need and your preference but will ideally see you focusing on-site projects such as working with the feedstock team, site improvement, operations etc.
- You will be required to be flexible on location and will likely work at one of their sites in East Anglia, East Midlands or South Yorkshire.
- Progression and professional development are massively supported by Future Biogas both on-scheme and in a substantive post at the end of the 3 years.
What’s on offer?
- £28k starting salary, rising in your second year.
- Fantastic training and the chance to be trained up in all technologies required for your data-driven projects.
- The chance to have real responsibilities within projects in a role that will require you to think outside the box every day.
- Shape your own success – whilst placements will depend on business need, you will also get the opportunity to factor your own preferences into your placements so that you can shape the future of your career.
