What type of things will I be working on?
On this 2-year graduate scheme, starting September 2024, you will undergo 4, 6-month rotations, working on a variety of real-life projects across a variety of engineering functions within our Manufacturing Services Division.
Placements and projects will be aligned to your ambitions and always involve work on real activities delivering tangible business benefits. This includes:
- Precision electro / mechanical / optical assembly
- Automation / robotics
- Development of entirely new and innovative solutions to assembly challenges.
- Process improvement
- New product introduction
This graduate programme aims to develop talented and confident engineers into the skilled technical experts required to support new product processes and fulfil the production engineering requirements enabling transfer to one of our manufacturing facilities.
What career opportunities are available?
The scheme will prepare you for a meaningful role within our division upon completion, by which time you will be possess both strong technical and core enabling skills. This scheme provides a route to Process Development Engineer within either the divisional design focused areas or within the Manufacturing technical functions.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites in New Mills, near Wotton-under Edge in Gloucestershire. As Renishaw sites are based in semi-rural locations, applicants must have their own form of transport or be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need and how do I apply?
We’re looking for passionate engineers expecting a 2:2 or above (or equivalent) in any STEM subject.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in engineering will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
