What type of things will I be working on?
On this 2-year graduate scheme, starting September 2025, you will undergo four 6-month rotations where placements, projects, and activities are aligned to your development ambitions - always involving work on real value-adding activities and projects delivering tangible business benefits.
Within the assembly development scheme, you will develop your knowledge and technical skills within precision electro-mechanical, optical assembly, automation, robotics, and the development of entirely new and innovative solutions to challenges.
Engineering experience will be gained in:
- Process improvement
- New product introduction
- Assembly development
- Project engineering.
This programme aims to develop graduates into the skilled technical experts required to support new product processes and fulfil the production engineering requirements enabling transfer to one of our manufacturing facilities.
What career opportunities are available?
This scheme provides a route to Process Development Engineer within either the divisional design focused areas or within the Manufacturing technical functions.
There are further progression opportunities based specific performance areas, personal preferences, and business requirements.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites in New Mills near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. Since our Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants should ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options may be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need?
Ideally you will be studying an Engineering subject and predicted to achieve 2:1 or above.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in engineering will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
