What type of things will I be working on?
Working in our IT and Security Applications department, our Analyst Programmers play a key role in keeping our global commercial systems running smoothly, and helping the business realise the investment in them. This is a varied role requiring the ability to provide fast, and diligent support together with the ability to analyse complex business-related issues providing timely and efficient solutions.
What you’ll do:
You will have the chance to get involved with real projects that will see you gaining skills in problem solving, business analysis, coding, project management and much more. Your role could involve, but not be limited to:
- Working alongside the support team to solve the issues that arise in the company.
- Being involved with the coding sub team, developing a range of skills, including C#, .NET, SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React along with working on cloud-based systems, and designing appropriate coding solutions to business problems.
- Analysing business functions and processes to find innovate solutions to issues.
- Developing your IT skills through practical training, with mentors and online training assigned to you to build up your skill set.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites in Gloucestershire. Since our Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants should ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options may be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need?
All relevant degree disciplines are welcomed. What is more important is that you have a passion for Business IT and analytics, with the motivation to progress into a varied role and play a key part in supporting the commercial systems of the business.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in electronics will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
