What type of things will I be working on?
Working in our Business Systems Department, our Support Analysts play a key role in keeping our global IT infrastructure and desktop IT equipment running smoothly, securely, within defined standards and procedures. This is a varied role requiring the ability to provide fast, efficient, and diligent support to keep our global workforce productive when using technology in their own jobs.
What you’ll do:
You will be work as part of our support team responding to service requests for:
- Work as part of the team to specify, develop and implement in-house IT infrastructure, cloud services and related management systems
- Provide fast, efficient and diligent IT support to Renishaw employees, IT infrastructure, cloud services and related management systems
- Keep abreast of current technologies and working practices
What you’ll gain:
As well as providing reactive 2nd/3rd line support to our global employees our Support Analysts play a proactive role in supporting the rollout of various business projects. Examples of recent projects include:
- Unstructured tiered storage
- Cloud provisioned offices
- Global conference/meeting room technology refresh.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites in Gloucestershire. Since our Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants should ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options may be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need?
Applicants must have:
- A good understanding of Windows 10/11 and preferably Windows Server.
- An understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- An appreciation of Cyber Security principles
- An appreciation of Cloud Services
- Good communications and interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of customer service, perhaps gained through workbased experience.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in electronics will be strongly considered.
