What type of things will I be working on?
This 2.5 year rotational graduate programme, starting September 2024, aims to develop talented graduates into the skilled technical experts and managers required to grow and advance our manufacturing organisation which is a high variety, high complexity, rapidly changing environment.
By investing in and supporting your personal development, we will build up and broaden your knowledge and experience to create a confident and highly capable professional.
Placements and projects will be aligned to your ambitions and always involve work on real activities and projects delivering tangible business benefits. Engineering experience will be gained in:
- Process improvement
- New product introduction
- Project engineering
- Supply chain engineering
- Operational management
This scheme encompasses high-precision, complex component manufacturing, precision electro / mechanical / optical assembly, digitisation, automation / robotics, and the development of entirely new and innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
What career opportunities are available?
The scheme will prepare you for a meaningful role within our division upon completion, by which time you will be possess both strong technical and core enabling skills. This could include:
- Assembly/ Process Engineering
- Process Development Engineering (including Automation, Robotics. and Mechatronics)
- Subtractive and Additive Component Engineering
- Supply-Chain Engineering
- Operational Management.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of our site in Miskin, South Wales. As Renishaw sites are based in semi-rural locations, applicants must have their own form of transport or be willing to relocate to the local area.
We also run this scheme in our main sites, near Wotton-under Edge in Gloucestershire. There may be opportunities for short term rotations between Gloucestershire and South Wales, though you will chose which site you would like to be based out of.
What do I need and how do I apply?
We’re looking for passionate engineers expecting a 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering or STEM discipline.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in engineering will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
