Are you a confident communicator and interested in the global software markets?
And interested in a career in recruitment?
We are working with a rapidly growing recruitment company that specialise in headhunting across the software markets throughout the US, UK and Europe. They build high performing teams for software start-ups who work with innovative software solutions and large global companies such as Adobe and IBM.
They have multiple offices in the UK and a New York office which was started by one of their existing consultants, who wanted a new challenge. With plans to expand across the US (California), Singapore and Australia, they are now looking to hire two graduates in their Manchester office for immediate starts. These graduates will drive the growth of their UK offices and will potentially set up future offices abroad (should that be of interest).
Hiring eight graduates throughout 2020, and achieving their 2nd best year to date, shows their financial stability and are ready to meet their ambitious growth plans.
Resource Analyst (Trainee Recruitment Consultant) - Academy
Graduates will come into the business via their academy as a resource analyst. You'll work across all their divisions, with an emphasis on learning their markets and sharing info amongst the different teams (CVs, leads, market information).
- Not a KPI driven environment. Not many calls will be made within the first 3-4 months as it is more about learning, developing market intel, understanding the sector and going through their academy with other hires.
- True headhunting, they don't rely on posting an advert, so it?s mainly reaching out and searching for the best senior professionals within the software markets to build your network and knowledge (what can you learn by asking questions?).
- Very collaborative, all about sharing good candidates, leads, marketing information.
Good Bits:

- Training: 121 training with their internal trainer, with group sessions, support from senior consultants.
- Earning potential: £22-24K is the basic salary, which rises after three months by £2K. You will earn commission on any contributions (CVs, leads, market info) to revenue. No thresholds on commission and you should expect to earn £30-40K OTE in your first year and then £60K as your first full year as a full consultant. Many consultants are earning £100K+ (which will take a few years to get to, but your hard work will be rewarded).
- Multiple careers paths into the sales side of the business or management.
Essential Skills
- They are looking for people who have excellent communication skills - can you speak confidently to directors and ask them questions to understand what they do and the SaaS market?
- Interest in the software, tech, SaaS markets and curious to learn, ask questions. The learning never stops as their markets change so rapidly and new start-ups constantly appear with innovative technology.
- Degree-level education: Open on degree group and grade and equivalent.
- Evidence of working hard and achieving something, could be university but also want other examples.
- Must be living in a commutable distance from Manchester, will only look at relocation if you have ties to the area (family, friends, have lived there before, etc.).
