About Us
Amwins Global Risks is the international division of Amwins, the largest specialty wholesale distributor in the world, placing more than $39bn in annual premium. We place over $2.8bn of that premium, bringing the market muscle and global reach required to find solutions for the most complex risks.
With over 750 employees around the world, and a global footprint across more than 120 countries, we’ve cemented our place as a top 10 contributor to Lloyd’s. We’re one of the largest independent brokers – and the largest binding authority broker – in the London Market.
Why Amwins Global Risks?
At Amwins Global Risks, we know that people don’t leave companies; they leave cultures. That’s why we work so hard on ours. Our people are high-achieving, top performers who believe in collaboration, working together to help each other succeed and do right by our clients.
We’re a dynamic and innovative employer, providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development while also promoting work-life balance and community involvement. We invest in our team members through education and learning programmes, as well as offering competitive benefits. Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion helps cultivate an open, welcoming workplace that reflects the communities we serve.

Don’t just take our word for it…
The Amwins Global Risks Graduate programme provides our candidates with fantastic starts to their insurance careers. The scheme is an 18-month development programme, allowing candidates to build relationships across our business quickly. Depending on the scheme our Graduates spend time in broking teams, and if they have a flair for analysing risks, we also have great opportunities for them in our Underwriting team. The programme also provides exposure and insights into our Group Support Teams (GST): HR, Marketing, Finance, Data & Analytics and Compliance.
All of our Graduates receive a buddy and mentor throughout the programme and have access to plenty of support while they work towards completing their Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) exams via an Apprenticeship programme. By partaking in our Graduate Programme, you’d get to work in an organisation that does business across the globe.
AGR Graduates learn to take on responsibility and initiative early on in their careers, as well as get the chance to shadow some of the most respected and talented brokers in the market. We also arrange for them to spend time with our US and European colleagues, networking beyond the London Market.

Diversity and Inclusion
Our diversity and inclusion efforts, like other key strategies we’re focused on, are part of our 150-year vision to be the best employer, and best insurance broker, in the London Market. As a firm, we recognise the real immediate benefit of having a diverse workforce and cultivating an environment that creates opportunities for all employees. We’re committed to creating a work environment where all employees feel valued and supported, and where diversity and inclusion are celebrated and embraced.
