Don't just take our word for it...
"The Brit Graduate scheme gives trainee underwriters a fantastic width of exposure to the different classes of business in the London insurance market from long-tail liability business to reinsurance. Brit’s status as an innovative market leader in speciality insurance means there is almost no section of the industry Brit staff cannot get involved in.
Being able to engage with all aspects of the underwriting process, from claims handling to actuarial science, has been an extremely valuable opportunity to learn. Brit’s unique culture has created a people-driven organization that consistently achieves first-in-class results whilst allowing individuals to thrive."
- Dafydd Law, Underwriting Graduate
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far in the IT graduate scheme. I have worked on a wide range of projects. My first rotation involved two projects, a Finance and a HR project, which were completely different and allowed me to develop a wide variety of knowledge and skills needed for a Business Analyst.
I am now working on a Cyber Product, which again has allowed me to expand my knowledge on the insurance industry, something which a year ago if you asked me questions I would probably have very little to share!
There is a great working culture at BRIT, one of the first things I noticed during my first few weeks was how friendly and approachable everyone is. Throughout my rotations I have never been afraid to ask questions as everyone has been incredibly helpful."
- Simran Basra, IT Analyst Graduate
"The past year on the Brit Graduate scheme has taken me round several divisions and helped me understand the unique dynamics of the Lloyds market. I have had the ability to get involved from day one, meeting clients and dealing with complex underwriting decisions, all of which have enhanced my learning.
Alongside underwriting I have had the opportunity to work on projects within the actuarial divisions to maximise my learning and understanding of underwriting complex risks. I am excited to continue my rotations around the business and gain further insights."
- Suleiman Ahmed, Underwriting Graduate
“My time here at Brit is one that I don’t think I’ll ever forget. The culture here is one I doubt I would find easily in other organisations. I am treated as a valued member of the business and shown that my opinions and growth matter.
My favourite thing about working in Brit Insurance has got to be the people. My first day here, I was both nervous and anxious about whether or not I’d meet the expectations I’d set in my head. Only for me to discover that my colleagues are smart, patient and understanding. Because of them, I don’t have that first-day imposter syndrome feeling anymore but instead, I have grown confident in my own abilities and I’m looking forward to advancing in my career.”
- Jerome Hamilton, IT Software Engineer Graduate
