Global Management Development Programme (Outperformer)

Hilti Outperformer is a two-year program, where you’ll quickly be involved in a range of international projects, with lots of exposure to senior management. It’s fast paced and testing, but we’ll closely coach and mentor you. We have two tracks of the programme – Business and Finance.

The Finance Track is split into three main stages of work:

  • 12 months as an Account Manager in Great Britain.
  • 2 months on a project in a Northern Europe country, 4 months on a project in the Manchester Hub. You'll go through intense training and learning in finance and accounting functions.
  • 6 months on a strategic financial project outside the region. If you’ve come from a mature market, you’ll work in an emerging market, and vice versa.

The Business Track is split into four main stages of work:

  • 12 months as an Account Manager or field engineer in Great Britain.
  • 3 months on an operational project in Northern Europe office: either Sweden/Denmark/Finland or Ireland. This could be within logistics, HR, finance, marketing or engineering.
  • 6 months on a strategic project at regional headquarters in Manchester, GB. 3 months on an international project outside the region. If you’ve come from a mature market, you’ll work in an emerging market, and vice versa. We want your thirst to learn, courage to challenge and desire to improve things, including yourself.

Hilti GB Graduate Programme

The Graduate Programme at Hilti GB starts with 18 months in a field-based account manager role in Sales. This will give you first-hand experience of our direct sales model and allow you to get to grips with our products, services and customers. You will have your own portfolio of customers to develop from very early on and the knowledge and experience you gain from your time in the field will set you up for a successful future at Hilti.

After 12 months with us, you will participate in a development centre to assess your strengths and understand your passions and future aspirations. We will then agree which track you will follow in the Graduate Programme and begin preparing you for the next steps in your career.

After you have completed 18 months as an account manager, you will take on a 6-month full-time project in your chosen track and then you will spend 12-18 months in a full-time position in the same function.

Upon successful completion of the Gradudate Programme, you will be offered a permanent position at Hilti and from there, the world is your oyster!

The rotations in the Graduate Programme can be summarised as:

  • 18 months sales account manager role
  • 6-month full-time project in functional track
  • 12-18 months pre-landing position in functional track

The tracks in the Graduate Programme include:

  • Engineering
  • Sales Leadership
  • Marketing
  • Business & Operations (which includes HR, Finance, Logistics & After Market Service)
