The Mercer graduate scheme
Our 16 month graduate roles encompass actuarial, retirement, investment consulting, and human capital analysis. Based on the line of business you choose, you will be working closely with your team to develop an understanding of individual client needs in order to be able to deliver high standards of client service and to help solve complex problems. From day one your role will contribute to the success of our clients as we provide them with a professional range of services relating to HR and Finance issues which can range from investment strategies based around employee pension and benefits, to how an organisation can improve employee performance.
Most of our graduate roles will see you study towards a professional qualification - actuarial, the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or the advanced diploma in retirement provision. Whatever you choose to study, we're here to support you. We'll pay for your tuition fees, study materials, and give you a generous study leave package.
Summer internship and placements
Each summer we offer internships across many of our UK locations in Talent, Retirement and Investments. The 8-week programme runs from the beginning of July to the end of August. Throughout the programme, you will get involved in client projects, be assigned a buddy to make sure you settle in quickly and help with day-to-day work queries. In addition, you will have an experienced consultant acting as your supervisor to assist you while you develop and learn over the course of the internship.
To help you gain an insight into Mercer, we may have opportunities for you to join us on a placement programme in some of our UK offices. For example, we offer 15-month placements within our Retirement Service Centre.
What you need
To join our Graduate Scheme or one of our Summer Internships, you must be on course to achieve at least: minimum 2:1 honours degree expected or obtained ideally in a numerical or semi-numerical degree (equivalent qualifications are accepted) and a minimum of 300 UCAS points.
