As a Finance Placement Student, you will be integral to the Finance team with your mission to support with the financial and reporting needs of Gymshark. The finance placement programme is split into two 6-month rotations covering aspects across both Core Finance & Management Information.

Placement Start Date: 3^rd July, 2023
Placement Duration: 13 Months (includes a one-month handover with the current placement student!)
Location: Solihull, West Midlands, UK

What you’ll learn:
You will gain experience and knowledge of:

Core Finance

• Learning about all things Accounts Payable, Treasury, Stock, Operations and assisting the team with day-to-day tasks
• Balance sheet controls accounts – assisting with reconciliation reviews, investigation of discrepancies and unreconciling items
• Helping the team with interim and year-end external audit procedures
• Learning the reporting of creditors’ and debtors’ ledgers
• Assisting in the development of financial policies, processes and working instructions
• Co-ownership of our internal corporate card processes and training delivery

Management Information

• Learning the prepayments and accruals processes
• Assisting in preparation of management accounts, including flash accounts
• Helping to prepare monthly commercial packs
• Assisting in development and analysis of financial commercial insight
• Assisting in the reconciliation and management of key balance sheet codes
• Supporting all audit visits i.e., internal, external and contractual audits
• Learning how to ensure compliance with all relevant accounting practices, procedures and policies of Gymshark
• Maintaining strict confidentiality in all sensitive matters & adhering to all regulatory legislation
