Summer Internship -  IT 

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for students to join this global investment bank within their Information Systems Department. This will be a 10 week paid internship, starting June 2024, designed to give students broad exposure to the teams who provide a full range of state of the art technology services to all departments within an investment bank, with a view to being offered a position on the Mizuho 2025 Graduate Programme.

Your salary is highly competitive, in line with salaries offered by other London Investment Banks.

What Will I Be Doing?

These departments within ISD are looking for undergraduates: 

The Front Office development team:

• Provides solutions for pricing, executing, booking and processing of trades to the trading business
• Supports the origination of client business from investors and issuers alike
• A dynamic and fast paced environment incorporating vendor and in-house systems.

The Core Technology and Innovation Department:

• Comprise of enterprise wide architecture, technologies, and applications/frameworks that underpin the business both locally and globally.
• Very technically strong and delivery focused working environment
• Teams include: Technology Architecture team, Enterprise Messaging Team, Enterprise Data team, DevOps team, Web Apps and Services team and Robotics Team 

The Corporate Systems ISD teams: 

• Provide IT solutions and services for Operations, Finance and Risk departments
• Use a variety of in-house systems developed using the latest Tech platforms as well as industry-leading vendor products
• Core skillsets for developers in this area would include: Programming (Java, .NET, Python), OO, Databases and software development methods/concepts.

What do I need and how do I apply?

We're looking for candidates in their penultimate year of study, with a passion for IT and who are available to start on our Graduate Programme in September 2025. An academic background in Computing would be optimal but not essential.
