Renishaw offers exciting opportunities for placement students on a year-long immersion programme designed to develop ambitious, talented, and self-motivated individuals into skilled experts in their chosen field.
What will I gain from this placement year?
Each placement will involve working on live projects under the guidance and expertise of experienced colleagues. As well as gaining hands on experience in your chosen field, you will have the opportunity to connect with people working in the business and discuss your career ambitions and ideas with employees in similar roles.
What will I be doing on this placement?
An industrial placement within the manufacturing organisation at Renishaw offers you the opportunity to understand and interact with cutting edge technology within a precision electro-mechanical and optical assembly environment.
You will be given relevant projects and responsibilities related to your interests and discipline studied. The entire placement is spent within the Manufacturing Services Division to enable you to get fully integrated into the team, where you will be mentored and supported by the technical staff and our senior managers. You will be encouraged to participate in the relevant areas with activities ranging from electronics process design, project planning, performances analytics, automation, robotics, to hands-on support and problem solving. You will be given a real role, with associated responsibilities and tasks that directly contribute to tangible business output.
A successful placement provides an excellent opportunity for you to be considered for a graduate scheme position in the future.
Where will I be working?
This role is based out of our major sites in Gloucestershire (Woodchester, Wotton-under-Edge, or Stonehouse). As Renishaw sites are based in semi-rural locations, it is essential that applicants have their own form of transport or are willing to relocate to the local area.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
Students will be considered from a wide range of STEM subjects, from electronics engineering, integrated & mechatronics engineering, mechanical engineering, to physics and maths.
