What type of things will I be working on?

Starting September 2025, Renishaw’s 12-month Embedded Software industrial placement offers a hands-on opportunity to work within a product development team, contributing directly to cutting-edge projects. You'll dive into embedded engineering through real-world projects in areas such as:

• Low-level dedicated operating systems
• Real-time operating systems
• Software APIs and middleware
• Device programming

Where will I be working?

This role is based out of one of our main sites near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. As Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants must ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options will be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.

What do I need?

We’re looking for candidates passionate about Embedded Software, currently completing a degree in a relevant subject such as Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or another related subject.

Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in Embedded Software will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
