What type of things will I be working on?
We are excited to offer a variety of 12-month industrial placement year opportunities starting in September 2025. These placement span across several key HR functions, including Early Careers, Learning and Development, Shared Services, STEM Outreach and ED&I.
Early Careers:
- Data Management: Gather and maintain data on placement changes, retention rates, and program documentation.
- Lifecycle Support: Assist in all stages of the Early Careers lifecycle, from recruitment to program completion.
- Training Implementation: Support the development and execution of training initiatives and manage the Early Careers intranet section.
Learning and Development:
- Workshop Coordination: Organise delegates and manage logistics for L&D workshops and events.
- Resource Management: Update training materials and record attendance in the Learning Management System (Workday Learning).
- Participant Support: Schedule coaching sessions and assist with training-related inquiries.
Shared Services:
- Process Development: Create and maintain process flows and guides for HR procedures.
- Inquiry Management: Handle inquiries in the HR shared inbox and assist with employee lifecycle processes.
- Documentation Support: Aid in the creation and maintenance of HR-related documentation.
STEM Outreach:
- Procedure Development: Establish best practice guides and manage inquiries in the STEM Outreach inbox.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to enhance outreach initiatives and organize related activities.
- Marketing and Analysis: Create marketing materials and improve social media presence while analysing program data.
ED&I Coordinator:
- Event Logistics: Manage logistics and administration for internal and external events and workshops.
- Communication Support: Collaborate with the communications team to develop and distribute content for relevant audiences.
- Community Engagement: Support the champions community and maintain relationships with external organisations.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. As Renishaw sites are located in semi-rural areas, applicants must ensure they have reliable means of transport to reach the site, as public transportation options will be limited. Alternatively, applicants should be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need?
We're looking for candidates who are studying for an undergraduate degree in the area of: human resources, business management, or related fields, however we are open to applications from all degree backgrounds.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in human resources will be strongly considered. If you are excited about the role but feel as though you don’t meet all the requirements, we would encourage you still to apply.
