Medical Devices Summer Placement

The medical devices summer placement is suitable for students who have a keen interest in medical device development and working within the healthcare sector.

What will I be doing?

This placement offers you the chance to learn more about what a career in medical devices (specifically those intended for neurosurgical applications) really means and provides an excellent insight into the wide range of activities involved in the development of medical devices, from concept to regulatory approval and ultimately, placement on the market.

You will be encouraged to participate in the relevant areas:

• Product design/development,
• Process improvement
• Quality, regulatory, change control
• Clinical aspects.

You will have the opportunity to connect with people working in the business and discuss your career ambitions and ideas with employees in similar roles.

Opportunities are available for placements between 6 and 12 weeks.

Where will I be working?

This role is based out of Renishaw's Charfield site in Gloucestershire. Please note Renishaw is in a semi-rural location therefore it is essential that you have your own form of transport or are willing to relocate to the area.

What skills and qualifications do I need?

Ideally you will be studying a relevant STEM subject at university or sixth form.
