What type of things will I be working on?
Working in our IT & Security function, our Support Analysts play a key role in keeping our global IT infrastructure and desktop IT equipment running smoothly and securely within defined standards and procedures. This is a varied role requiring the ability to provide fast, efficient, and diligent support to keep our global workforce productive when using technology in their own jobs.
You will work as part of our support team responding to service requests for:
- New pcs, printers and accessories
- Provision of application software
- Faults within applications including server applications & Cloud Services including MS SQL, Hyper V, M365 and Azure
- Incidents arising in Business critical applications e.g. printing from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
As well as providing reactive frontline support to our global employees our Support Analysts play a proactive role in supporting the rollout of various business projects. Examples of recent projects include Windows 7 to 10 migration, provision of IT equipment to support hybrid working in the UK, re-allocation and distribution of IT equipment from a former site and RAM upgrade of CAD PCs.

Where will I be working?
This role is based out of one of our main sites in New Mills, near Wotton-under Edge in Gloucestershire. As Renishaw sites are based in semi-rural locations, applicants must have their own form of transport or be willing to relocate to the local area.
What do I need and how do I apply?
This industrial placement scheme is suitable for students who are required to undertake a sandwich placement as part of their degree course. We are looking for people who have a good communication and interpersonal skills with a good understanding of the importance of customer service.
Training and development is excellent so candidates with no experience but a keen interest in medical devices will be strongly considered.
